[PathWay] Medivh Empty [PathWay] Medivh

The Global Idea :


I'm suggesting to make a "Pathway Version", allowing you to play 3 different timelines of Medivh.
You'd be able to get this version of Medivh in a special shop, where you could pick "Soul of Medivh" and from this soul ( looking like a Wisp ) you'd be able to get either Medivh the Guardian, a well-known version of Medivh when he was friend with Anduin Lothar mostly turned on the Support side, / Medivh the Magus an alternate version of Medivh in Battle mode  as he was well known to be a really powerful mage, / And finally Medivh the Corrupted a last version of him under the influence of Sargeras.
Note that the whole changes and creations are based on many hours of watching and reading about Warcraft Lore.
So, Medivh the Guardian would be pickable with Soul of Medivh for free, but Medivh the Magus and Medivh the Corrupted would work with the save system and be only pickable if you have enough points to pick them. Magus being at a decent amount of score and since I want the Corrupted to be like a secret hero, I'd say a big score but playable if you random the Soul of Medivh.

[Q] Great Heal


Instantly heals all nearby allies including Medivh. This affect units within 600 AOE around Medivh.


[W] Aerial Shackles

Magically binds a target ennemy unit, so that it cannot move or attack and takes damage per second.
Lasts 10 seconds, 6 seconds for hero unit.


[New] [E] Dome of Protection

Nullifies projectile attacks/ranged attacks in 800 AoE/sphere/spherical range near Medivh and regens % hp/s in the dome.
Duration : 10s
Cooldown : 45s
Mana Cost / Upgrade : 100

Level 1 : Nullifies 50% of ranged damage and heals 0,5% hp/s

Level 2 : Nullifies 55% of ranged damage and heals 1% hp/s

Level 3 : Nullifies 60% of ranged damage and heals 1,5% hp/s

[New] [T] Protector of Azeroth

Medivh channels with his legendary staff to call upon the forces of his predecessors, to protect Azeroth from evil.
He buffs his allies within 1200 AOE to be able to stand against the greatest enemies, while draining his own vital forces.
To remain focused Medivh is unable to use "Atiesh, Staff or the Guardian" during the channeling and can't give mana to his allies.
Duration : As long as Medivh doesn't cancel the spell.
Cooldown : 120s
Cost : The spell drains Medivh's mana every seconds, when he runs out of mana the life-drain doubles ( ex lvl 1 spell : When Medivh drops from let's say 500 mana to 0 the life drain will stop being 9% and will jump to 18%.

Level 1 : Drains 9% of Medivh's hp and 100 mana/s while giving 100% damages to allies 50% spell damage and resurrect all dead allies at the end of the cast ( Medivh is not affected )

Level 2 : Drains 8% of Medivh's hp and 300 mana/s while giving 150% damages to allies 100% spell damage and resurrect all dead allies at the end of the cast ( Medivh is not affected )

Level 3 : Drains 7% of Medivh's hp and 900 mana/s while giving 200% damages to allies 150% spell damage and resurrect all dead allies at the end of the cast ( Medivh is not affected )

Level 4 : Drains 6% of Medivh's hp and 1200 mana/s while giving 250% damages to allies 200% spell damage and resurrect all dead allies at the end of the cast ( Medivh is not affected )

Level 5 : Drains 5% of Medivh's hp and 1300 mana/s while giving 300% damages to allies 250% spell damage and resurrect all dead allies at the end of the cast ( Medivh is not affected )


Medivh, The Magus


Medivh, known to be the Last Guardian of Tirisfa,l is also known to be one of the most powerful mages of his time. This version of him is more of a caster and I don't know the scalings yet, but I want him to do mass damages but needs huge mana cost and constant support from his allies since he doesn't have the council of Tirisfal to help him out.

[New] [Q] Ceaseless Winter

Calling the frozen winds of Azeroth, Medivhs gets surrounded by a blizzard, that deals damage to his enemies and slow them in 1200 AOE.

Mana Increase per level : Make it like with immolation but with double mana cost ( initial mana cost to activate (either this one doubled) and mana/s (or this one) )

Cooldown : 13s before casting again

Level 1 : Deals damage to enemies in 1200 AOE 2% slow

Level 2 : Deals damage to enemies in 1200 AOE 3% slow

Level 3 : Deals damage to enemies in 1200 AOE 4% slow

Level 4 : Deals damage to enemies in 1200 AOE 5% slow

Level 5 : Deals damage to enemies in 1200 AOE 6% slow

Level 6 : Deals damage to enemies in 1200 AOE 7% slow

Mana Increase per level : 100 ( if Medivh starts with 400 mana in this form )

Cooldown : 12s all lvls

Level 1 : Immobilize the enemy  for 8 seconds ( 4s for heroes ) and drains 1% of his total mana doing same damage as mana lost every seconds. The enemy is silenced for 5 seconds and Medivh for 10

Level 2 : Immobilize the enemy  for 9 seconds ( 4,5s for heroes ) and drains 1% of his total mana doing same damage as mana lost every seconds. The enemy is silenced for 5,5 seconds and Medivh for 9,5s

Level 3 : Immobilize the enemy  for 10 seconds ( 5s for heroes ) and drains 1,5% of his total mana doing same damage as mana lost every seconds. The enemy is silenced for 6 seconds and Medivh for 9s

A Nuke spell that Medivh needs to channel before casting, dealing huge damage to a primary target and setting him on fire, dealing damages to surrounding units (like Thundershield).

Cooldown : 5/5/6/6/7/7/8/8/9/8 seconds ( Yup he loses one sec lvl 10 )

Level 1 : Channels 4 seconds

Level 2 : Channels 4 seconds

Level 3 : Channels 4,5 seconds

Level 4 : Channels 4,5 seconds

Level 5 : Channels 5 seconds and also deals damage to the primary target instead of just surrounding units

Level 6 : Channels 5 seconds and also deals damage to the primary target instead of just surrounding units

Level 7 : Channels 5,5 seconds and also deals damage to the primary target instead of just surrounding units

Gives Medivh a passive aura that regens his own mana and an active spell where he gives a buff to his allies in 600 AOE, which allows heroes to gain mana by hitting enemies, doing a %age of the mana gained as extra damage to the enemy on every hit ( the enemy doesn't lose mana ) ( Heroes only buff, I don't want an extra bug with units not having mana xD).

Mana Increase per level : 150

Cooldown : 30 seconds lasts 20

Passive : Gains passively 1/2/3/4/5 % regen mana/s at lvls 1-2-3/4-5/6-7/8-9/10 ( Medivh only )

Active :

Level 1 : Gains : Spell lvl x 1 Medivh's Int and deals 20% of the mana gained as damage to the enemy ( 800 Mana gain /hit for 800 int and 160 dmg if Medivh only puts 1 point into it )

Level 2 : Gains : Spell lvl x 0,9 Medivh's Int and deals 40% of the mana gained as damage to the enemy

Level 3 : Gains : Spell lvl x 0,8 Medivh's Int and deals 60% of the mana gained as damage to the enemy

Level 4 : Gains : Spell lvl x 0,7 Medivh's Int and deals 80% of the mana gained as damage to the enemy ( 224 Mana gain / hit for 80 int and 179,2 dmg => 80 not 800 int )

Level 5 : Gains : Spell lvl x 0,6 Medivh's Int and deals 100% of the mana gained as damage to the enemy ( 2400 Mana gain/ hit for 800 int and 2400 dmg )

Level 6 : Gains : Spell lvl x 0,5 Medivh's Int and deals 120% of the mana gained as damage to the enemy ( 2400 Mana gain/ hit for 800 int and 2880 dmg for 900 mana)

Level 7 : Gains : Spell lvl x 0,4 Medivh's Int and deals 140% of the mana gained as damage to the enemy

Level 8 : Gains : Spell lvl x 0,3 Medivh's Int and deals 160% of the mana gained as damage to the enemy

Level 9 : Gains : Spell lvl x 0,2 Medivh's Int and deals 180% of the mana gained as damage to the enemy and burns enemy's mana based on the damages dealth

Level 10 : Gains : ( I took the shortcut since Spell lvl 10 x 0,1 Int = 1x Int ) 1 x Medivh's Int and deals 200% of the mana gained as damage to the enemy, (800 Mana gain / hit for 800 int and 1600 extra damages) and burns the enemy's mana twice based on the damages dealth ( 3200 mana burnt for 800 int )

I think %age is fine since you'll want to focus more on upgrading other spells and I like the mechanic of the spell since you can either choose to just up it to have mana regens all over the game, you can rush for lvl 6 for maximum damages to your team and you can get lvl 10 to compensate

[New] [T] Elemental Storm

channel to cast / ultimate based on the last spell used before casting Elemental Storm with 25% chance to cast Lightning Storm which stuns all enemies in 1300 long range AoE
Mana Flow deals damage based on all allies in range of the cast ( self cast on Medivh ) with their mana max or actual mana available as true damage

[New] [D] Bond to Magic


When Aegwyn locked her powers and knowledge within Medivh, she knew that her newborn would awake his full potential sooner or later. And she was right.
One day, while out on the road in Stranglethorn Vale, Medivh and his friends were ambushed by three jungle trolls. None were hurt badly, however, Medivh fainted after casting several spells. He would succumb to a coma on the eve of his fourteenth birthday, awaking in the middle of the night from evil dreams, where he pictured figures giving chase through deep chasms. In a sweat, he stumbled into his father's room, and when his father touched his brow, the power his mother had given him awoke. No less than one hundred clerics had to combine their talents with his father's to contain the powers. By the time the force had subsided, Aran, his father, was dead and Medivh nearly so himself. Spanning almost ten years Medivh, in a coma caused by stress and Sargeras, was tended by his friend Lothar, as well as the clerics at Northshire Abbey.

Medivh awoke a decade later under a facade of control, and assured the clerics and the court that he was fine.

Due to his incredible ability to feel magic, Medivh has 35% chance to get +1 int / 10 lvl when casting a spell ( +2 int lvl 20 / +3 lvl 30...).

Quest : Frame of Atiesh


Item Name : Splinters of Atiesh ( starts at 1 and not dropable )
Description : Collect 40 Splinters of Atiesh to obtain Frame of Atiesh.

Detailed Goals for conception:

- Killing an Undead Hero gives has 0.1% chance to give +1 Splinter
- Winning an Undead Event has 10% chance to give +3 Splinters / 20% to give +2 Splinters / 40% chance to give +1 Splinter and 30% chance to give nothing
*displays this message when all 40 shards are collected* All things are fated. Just as you holding the staff of the Guardian was fated...

Killing Kel'Thuzad (drops Head Staff of Atiesh )
- When this quest has to be done, Kel'Thuzad from "Escort Kel'Thuzad quest" will morph into a raid boss :

Phase One :
KelThuzad (link)  is Invulnerable in Phase One and you'll need to kill adds during this time :

- Soldier of the Frozen Wastes (link) - Casts Dark Blast ( after 20 seconds ) when it touches an enemy unit causing [x] Shadow damage to all the heroes in the "raid area" + slows their move speed and killing the Soldierat the same time

- Unstoppable Abomination (link) - Applies Mortal Wound on hit, which also applies a stacking -10% healing debuff. It will also go frienzy and randomly choose one target into the "raid area" every 18 seconds. They spawn progressively faster as phase 2 approaches, so they must be killed as fast as possible to avoid having multiple abominations up when Kel'Thuzad becomes active.

- Soul Weaver (link) - casts Wail of Souls which inflicts Shadow damage and knocks back players in a cone

Phase Two :

Kel'Thuzad becomes active 3 minutes and 48 seconds after you engage him.

- Frostbolt — Inflicts Frost damage to a random close enemy and reduces its movement speed by 50% for 4 sec. Two-second cast and can be interrupted. Frost Bolt is cast at random intervals and can be chain-cast. This spell cannot be resisted or reflected ( if that's possible )

- Frostbolt Volley — Frost damage to nearby enemies, reducing their movement speed for 4 sec. Instant cast. Used every 20-30 secs

- Chains of Kel'Thuzad — Dominates the target's mind, charming them for 20 sec. In addition, the target's damage is increased by 200% and their healing is increased by 500%. Targets three players. Unlike Kel'Thuzad 40, this will not mind control the main tank. This ability lasts 20 seconds and cannot be removed by any means. This spell has a 90-second cooldown.

- Detonate Mana — Destroys a portion of the target's mana, causing damage to enemies around the target based upon the amount of mana destroyed. The player will explode after 5 seconds, dealing Arcane damage based on maximum mana to all players within 10 yards (not to himself). This spell has a 30-second cooldown.

- Shadow Fissure — Summons a Shadow Fissure on a nearby enemy player. After 5 seconds, the Shadow Fissure causes Void Blast.
- Void Blast — Deals Shadow damage to any enemy within the Shadow fissure after 5 sec.

- Frost Blast — Stuns the target, dealing 26% of the target's maximum health in Frost damage every second for 4 sec. This effect will chain to anyone within 10 yards of anyone affected. It will deal 104% of their maximum HP in damage over 4 seconds. If those affected are not healed within 4 seconds, they will die. This spell has a 45-second cooldown.

Phase Three :

At 45% health, phase three will begin as Kel'Thuzad calls for aid and the Lich King sends four Nerubian Crypt Lords known as the Guardians of Icecrown to attack the raid.

- Guardian of Icecrown (link) - These have as much HP as Kel'Thuzad (each) with the ability : Blood Tap, which is a self buff that gives +15% all damage, and can stack up to 99 times. Immune to CC. The Guardians stack Blood Tap every ~15 seconds. The Guardians will flee ( or die or disapear, what is the easiest ) when Kel'Thuzad dies.










Combine all 3 items to obtain Atiesh, the Befouled Greatstaff

Item Name : Atiesh, the Befouled Greatstaff
Description : Gives +40 Int +4 Mana Regen / s and 100 hp
                      Kill all the "x" extra Undead Bosses
                      Then bring the Staff to a land where pure water flows to summon and purify the Evil present in the staff
                      ALSO : Empowers Sargeras with an immunity to magic while present in Medivh's Inventory.
                       Use: Exorcises the taint of Sargeras from Atiesh. Only usable on consecrated earth.

Detailed Goals for conception:

Spawns 1 Extra Boss on each Undead Event from wave four at fountain event to the end

- Kill all the Extra Bosses ( Wave 7 not counting as and extra )
*Displays this message when all [x] Extra Bosse have been killed* "An entity of great evil is imprisoned within the staff"
- Go where the Well of Sun event takes place to spawn the last boss
- Step into the area where the Well was present and use Atiesh, the Befouled Greatstaff start Channeling for 9 seconds ( 15 Minutes Cooldown )
- Summons Atiesh *The Hand of Sargeras* and destroys Atiesh, the Befouled Greatstaff
- Killing Atiesh *The Hand of Sargeras* drops Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian
